Co-founder; Director for The Turn of the Screw 2023

“What if?” That’s a question I hope to never say in regret. But if I put the question into the present verses past tense… It becomes deep curiosity searching for the potential and the possible. It becomes active- I begin to explore, discover, and imagine…. The next step is to then follow through. That’s the power I found in the creation of Chalk Circle Collective.

Now, it’s one thing to ask the question “what if?” but it’s a whole other adventure to follow through. Directing Turn of the Screw, I’m not going to lie, was scary and the most rewarding artistic experience I’ve had.

What’s happened since?

Since The Turn of the Screw they were immediately asked to direct Next to Normal at Oceanside Theatre Company and was nominated for Outstanding Direction of a Musical. They also continue to grow on the production side as Production Manager for Chalk Circle’s sophomore production of Constellations. Next on the horizon they will launch “The Chalkboard” as an avenue for artists to brainstorm and workshop new projects. Process is just as important as product. Development is a deep passion for Frankie and their dream is to continue to make Chalk Circle Collective the place to facilitate the new and continue to ask… What if?
